Nature's Glory

I love many aspects of this piece of artwork. With all critiques, I like to start off with the parts that an artist was able to do amazingly.

The colouring on this horse is superb, the hints of green reflected from the surrounding world is a detail that is quite amazing. The blending of the front foreleg into the background is believable, as is much of the lighting.

Excellent job.

The only thing that bothers me is the lack of lighting in the eye. From the horses body, I feel light in the forest, as well as the background, yet the eye is dark. While this is just a suggestion, the eye is the point many are drawn too in any artwork. Personally, I know photographers are taught to train in on the eye, even if the rest is not perfect, a perfect eye will make a piece work. I feel this way with animal pictures as well.

The only other suggestions I have are keep working! Your art is amazing!
